George Rudawski, MSFE, MBA, CFA®, is Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at Altman Advisors. His responsibilities include conducting research, generating investment strategies, and managing portfolios on behalf of the firm.
George grew up in Ukraine, where he became fascinated with capital markets and decided to pursue an MBA, which he received from Wayne State University in 1998. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at the University of Michigan and became a Chartered Financial Analyst® soon after that. He has over two decades of experience in asset management, including serving as Head of U.S. Securitized Products and Lead Portfolio Manager at Aviva Investors and Director at Fitch Ratings where he was responsible for rating Collateralized Loan Obligations.
For George, his work is not about abstract numbers—it is about people. He grounds his work in respect for his clients and treats their money as if it was his own. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Investment Analyst Society of Chicago. He enjoys fishing and performing arts in Chicago. He and his wife have one child who is just beginning his collegiate career.
